Search Engine Ranking Factors
If you haven’t seen it already, SEOmoz has released its version 2.0 report on the factors that lead to high ranking in Google. It seems to me that most lawyers—and many legal marketing consultants—still largely ignore these factors web building or redesigning their web site. One of the big mantras is that content is all that matters and everything else will fall into place. It’s hard to argue with that rather large principle, but as the saying goes “if you focus out far enough enough, everything comes into view.”
Yes, content is king, but lawyers and law firms should put some effort into making sure their site isn’t ignoring some easily fixable issues or doing something that is largely regarded as a mistake.
